Hotels Hanoi: Hotel Imperial Hanoi - the best choice for 3 star hotels in Hanoi

   It was our first visit to Hanoi, glad we ended up in the Old Quarter, the next block over is Hoan Kiem Lake. The hotel is located so you can reach most of the tourist attractions on foot or a very short inexpensive cab ride away. Lots of restaurants within the same block as the hotel with many different options. It is at the end of the block so no noisy cars and beeping motorycycles to keep you awake all night. This is a big deal. When they say the streets of Hanoi are noisy they are noisy, lots of beeping horns. Drivers use their horn more in 5 minutes than I use on my car in the US the entire time I own a car. Our room was nicely appointed with a king sized bed, 2 side chairs, cable TV, AC, wifi, sm. refrig. nice sized bathroom with tub and shower. Simple decorations but very pleasant and quiet!! The staff, expecially Ian the general manager, went up and beyond to make sure you had everything you asked about or requested. We were going to walk down to a gov't. office to get another single entry VISA, our trip took us to Siem Reap then back to Vietnam, Saigon. Ian said I'll have them come down here to bring you your VISA. Imagine our surprise when he got on the telephone and made it happen. Would never happen in the US! I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Without a doubt if I'm back in Hanoi I would not consider any other place to stay!
